The search for eligible preceptors and clinical sites begins 12 months prior to your first term of nurse practitioner courses. You’ll have access to resources including Nurse Practitioner Town Hall meetings and a list of more than 600 affiliated clinical sites nationwide. 

Once you identify a site from the list, you will need approval from the Clinical Placement Office. The clinical placement team will also finalize the arrangements for each rotation or assist you if you have difficulty finding a preceptor or a clinical site.

While grades are the responsibility of your clinical supervising faculty member, your preceptor provides input based on observations of your on-site work.
